A Turn for the Worst

I am scared of the garden.

Last time I went to the garden I stepped on a snake. Now...there maybe people out there who don't think this is a big deal but let me tell you, snakes and I DO NOT get along. Saying I am terrified is an understatement (I cried for 20 min after it happened).

That was 2 months ago. Yes, it took me 2 months to gain the courage to go back again. I finally did it because I knew I had some carrots out there that needed picked.

When I got to the garden, I realized no one has been weeding because I had to wade through knee-high plants (this did not help me nerves). I started pulling up the carrots and was laughing to myself because they were so small (smaller than the baby carrots you buy at the store).........when out of nowhere something large and black came lunging at me. I screamed like death was imminent which brought some neighbors outside to see if I was dead (just a little embarrassing). That scream saved my life though because the animal was freaked and ran off as fast as it could.

So.....are you wondering what kind of animal it was????

A Black Cat.....(she says shaking)

What does this mean? I mean...it's Halloween and a black cat didn't just "cross my path", it tried to kill me.

I don't usually consider myself superstitious but I am convinced that some colossal bad luck is headed my way.......

The one thing I know for sure is, I am not EVER going back to that garden!!!!!
