Today was Ella's first time to eat fish. We grilled Salmon and she was very interested in the whole process. She wanted to watch me marinade it and see it cooking on the grill but the best part was when we sat down to eat it and she said:
"This isn't real fish. We wouldn't eat a real fish. This is food fish.......right? RIGHT?"
And on cue, Chris and I said "right".

I love it! I felt the same way about my beef last night. I hate the idea that it was a real cow. Just food cow. :)
Oh Kira, reading your blog always cracks me up! And helps me feel like I'm not alone in this crazy parenting business. Anyway, we'd love to see you in August. David has the first about 3 weeks off so we might be going on vacation, but let us know when you're coming as soon as you have it decided so we can plan on seeing you. We miss you guys SO much!
